😁Conversation roles

Overview

You can customize the chatbot's nickname and icon to make your message conversations more lively and improve marketing effectiveness. By defining custom characters, communication with customers becomes more vivid and personalized. For example, you can send Mid-Autumn Festival promotions using the Chang'e character, or send Lunar New Year event information using the Nian beast character. Make the customer experience more fun and friendly!

Setup

Add or edit character

You can go to the 'Apps' menu on the left and look for the 'Conversation Characters' feature under the 'Marketing' or 'Utilities' category. Once you find it, simply click the 'Add' button at the top of the interface to create a new conversation character.

'Conversation Characters' have the following field settings:

If set to 'Off', this character will not be used when sending messages.

Character icon

Please upload a .png or .jpg image under 1MB as the character's icon.

Character name

V

This name will be shown as the conversation nickname in LINE and live chat.

Assign from 'Conversation Script'

After creating the 'Conversation Character', if you want to use that character in a specific scenario, go to 'Conversation Scripts'. In the appropriate scenario, you can add an action node and select 'Change Conversation Character' as the node's action. Then you can choose the previously created character to present to the customer in the conversation.

Once any contact has a specific conversation character applied, subsequent replies will be sent to that contact using the designated character. If you want to cancel this setting, you have the following two methods:

  1. Directly set the conversation character to disabled.

  2. At the start of the corresponding script for that channel, set an empty conversation character; this tells the system not to apply any character, thereby clearing the previous setting.

Use cases

Conversation characters can be applied in various scenarios, such as:

  1. Character roles for games or marketing campaigns:

    • Use the chatbot to create an online interactive game to bring you closer to users. When users interact in the game, a clear conversation character helps them quickly understand the game context and know which character they are interacting with. For example: in games like Werewolf or board game types, each character has unique personality and abilities; through conversation characters, you can provide players with a deeper gaming experience.

    • Beyond games, conversation characters can also be used for various festivals or themed marketing campaigns to increase fun and participation. For example: use the Chang'e character to send Mid-Autumn Festival special offers, or use the Nian beast to announce Lunar New Year promotions.

  2. Characters representing physical branches or specific positions:

    • Through the conversation character feature, businesses can simulate interactions for each branch or specific positions. For example, create characters like 'Da'an Store Manager' or 'Xinyi Store Clerk'. When users inquire about a specific branch, these characters can provide immediate responses, making users feel as if they are truly talking to that branch's staff, thereby increasing personalization and efficiency of customer service.
