# Import custom forms

The custom form import feature lets you batch import "customer table data with custom fields" into the system at one time. For example, data from your original Excel file or data exported from another system can be quickly transferred to FIRST LINE through this feature.

Please make sure your import file (CSV) is **UTF-8** encoded, otherwise it cannot be imported.

## **Import Template Management**

You can use the list import feature by clicking **System Management ⇒ Custom Table Import**to enter the management page.

As shown above, the page has three buttons: “Import Template”, “Import Records”, and “Add Import”.

1. **Import Template**: Before you import, you need to create a corresponding template for the import file and set the fields in the import file accordingly. After the initial setup, it will greatly reduce the inconvenience of importing and maintain high scalability and collaboration.
2. **Import Records**: Every import will be recorded for you, including when it started, when it ended, the number of successful imports, and even the original file, making it easy for you to manage the list history.
3. **Add Import button**: Clicking it will take you to the settings screen, which will be introduced in detail below.

## **Create Import Template**

### Basic Information

1. **Template Name**: Required field, used to identify the import template you are using. You can name it based on the list source or field content, such as XX Bank list or online shopping member list, making it easier for operators to identify.
2. **Description**: Additional template information. This field will also be shown in the template list for easier identification.

### Matching Conditions

You can in “**Matching Conditions**add a condition to determine whether it is a duplicate customer. When the system finds the same customer based on the condition, it will update it.

When, under the specified conditions, the system finds**multiple customers with the same conditions**it will**not perform any updates**.

### Edit Template

You can click or drag the default fields on the right side of the template editor to add corresponding fields to your template on the left.

If you need to add, remove, or modify the draggable default fields on the right, you can refer to “**Customer and Ticket Custom Fields**” to design your custom fields.

## Start Import

Please first confirm whether the data fields you want to import match the import template you have set up.

After the import template is set up, find the template you want to use for this import and click “Start Import” on the right.

When uploading a file, if the source data contains a header row, please check Advanced Settings and do not import.

After clicking “Import”, a progress bar will appear at the top of the page showing the import status. At this time, you can also switch to the “**Import Records**” tab to view information such as whether each record was uploaded successfully and the number of imported records.

In addition, if needed later, you can also click “**Download Import File**” behind that record to obtain the original data for that import at the time, making it convenient to manage and keep.
